I got a text from my girlfriend, Aubrey, this morning proudly announcing she had deactivated her Facebook account to get back some of the time she lost using Facebook (in her words). I deactivated my Facebook as well. This isn't the first (or last) time that Aubrey has made a smart decision and influenced me, besides, I was feeling a little distracted by Facebook.

Wallace has updated his website Optiks.org with a couple brand new, conceptual, self-initiated fashion series. I have always admired Steven's ability to bring an eye-catching, surreal (and sometimes haunting) element to his images, and produce truly unique photography that embodies a style that is all his own.

Portfolio CMS Craze

There is a new online craze for artists building portfolio websites, the portfolio content management system. Every design-geek and even his biggest inspirations are stretching their bandwidth uploading their latest work and existing portfolios to local and/or third-party hosted Corgofoliondxr, and I am no exception. Let me list off the ones I have found (and probably used at one point) so far:

Another trend developing are simple-design image-bookmarking applications that enable users to share whatever image they might be looking (online) with a javascript "bookmarklet", similar to StumbleUpon and Delicious. Here are a few I frequent myself for inspiration and visual stimulation:

I think our friend Andreas Pihlstrom might have started a new fad with his new communication tool Qonversation, I posted about this before and it's popularity continues to grow!

All of this leads me to wonder with anticipation "what is next?" considering all of the great ideas our online "inventors" are crafting.

I finally created an individual Twitter account for my new company Webster & Wallace: twitter.com/websterwallace To reclaim my personal Twitter space (and tweets), and to avoid mixing business (tweets) with pleasure (tweets), I changed my username to something more fitting and redesigned: twitter.com/bkw_

We have updated our "art blog" Pyramd.com with new visual treats. The goal of this collection of images and content is to research design, photography, illustration and communication art in the psychedelic, generative, algorithmic, optical illusion, surreal or avant-garde genres. In the midst of the images there are symbols and messages that translate differently to every person.
